Twister Flat Bottom Bins 20718-52664 Bushels

These Twister bins come standard with a large, easy access door c/w auger port, outside sidewall ladder, roof ladder, remote lid opener, and SafTfil Bin Level Indicator.

Twister bins now have new corrugated stiffeners, which absolutely prevent grain hang up behind the stiffener. The stiffeners may be placed on the inside or the outside of the bin, whichever you desire (inside standard on flat bottom bins). You get the strength of a stiffened bin, with the easy clean out of an unstiffened design.

Concrete Forming System - Easy & Watertight

The Twister Concrete Forming System provides a solution to all the problems associated with conventional concrete foundations.

The steel foundation form includes everything you need to make a perfectly round, perfectly level foundation. Assembly is so simple that no previous concrete experience is required to produce a perfect foundation on the first try.

When the foundation is complete, the bin is fastened directly to the foundation form using the supplied hardware and caulking. The flange to flange joint makes tie down of the bin a snap and it gives you a perfectly watertight seal.

Because Twister's Concrete Forming System is fast and easy, you'll save on assembly but you'll also save on concrete because the slab does not need to extend beyond the bin. The concrete forms available for this bin are 24" and 34" tall. These concrete forms are designed to accommodate the Twister Free Flo aeration system and the Twister Clean Sweep unloading system without sacrificing the bushel capacity of your bin.

Free Flo Aeration - Better Drying with Even Airflow

A full floor system would provide the most uniform distribution of air throughout a bin if we had 2 things: 1) a uniform depth of grain in the bin, not peaked in the center; and 2) a consistent blend of grain throughout the bin, big kernels, small kernels and fines all perfectly blended.

But big kernels travel to the outside walls while the small kernels and fines settle in the center. It is harder to blow air through a taller column of small kernels and fines in the center of a bin than it is through the big kernels along the walls. That's why full floor systems have more air going up the side walls.

Twister's Free Flo Aeration system is a square pit installed in the concrete. There's no lost bin capacity and it is designed to compensate for the natural uneven static pressure in the bin. With the square pit, the distance the air has to travel along the floor and up the side walls is more equal to the extra depth of grain in the center. That's why Twister is better. It is also easy to install. The formwork simply bolts together and the concrete is poured around it. There are no chairs. The I beam supports are poured into the pit bottom and remain securely in place to support a perfectly level aeration floor.

Clean Sweep Unloading

Superior unloading at an economical price. All Twister Clean Sweep unloading systems from Avonlea are gear box driven. That means no set up and it is totally operated from outside the bin.
Available in 8" round tube and 10" U-trough designs with inclined or straight powerheads and your choice of electric or hydraulic drive. With the 8" round tube systems, the same powerhead may be moved from bin to bin. The 10" U-trough systems have the powerhead permanently attached to the system.
